Dear Dan,
Thanks for taking time away from your work to show me the outstanding job at St. Stephen’s Church. This is an organ of which you should be very proud, indeed. I know Möller organs of that period pretty well, and I can say that you have transformed it into something quite remarkably good and met a very tough acoustical challenge. I was especially impressed with the balance of the diapason choruses and with a full, rich sound which travels nicely throughout every part of the building. The installation was very neat and professional in every way…a real pleasure to crawl through.
The information I gather on the 32′ reed will be of immense value in our upcoming jobs, particularly the one in Lincoln, Nebraska, which requires an exceptionally powerful 32′ voice as it is located in the chamber under expression. There is no substitute for first hand experience of a sound. I am now sure that our direction is correct.
Thanks, again, for all your help.
Your sincerely,
SCHOENSTEIN & CO.
